Responsibilities

As a social media manager, you’ll need to:

  • Manage all social media channels such as Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and Instagram
  • Produce creative content for use across social media channels
  • Develop a social media strategy and set goals to increase brand awareness and increase engagement
  • Plan content and delivery using tools like Hootsuite, TweetDeck, Clout and others to manage multiple social media channels
  • Develop and manage fun and creative competitions and campaigns that promote your organisation and brand
  • Source relevant multimedia content/imagery for use on social media
  • Manage and facilitate social media communities by responding to social media posts and discussions
  • Produce and monitor and report on performance on social media platforms
  • Liaise with board of directors via telephone, email, conference calls or face-to-face to provide social media updates and progress.
  • Someone who can commit to 5 hours a week
